Schützenhalle in Thalwil sold out - the charity concert a great success.
Much over 100 people were pampered by Thomas Spycher's delicious cuisine. Even with a limited infrastructure, heavenly meals can be prepared. Thomas really cooked up a storm and elated our guests.
As a symbol for the values of we care 4 Natalie and Sven Hungerbuehler planted a little tree. The pot stands for the honorary work we care 4's members, the earth for the focus on the local projects under local guidance and respect for the local culture. The small tree stands for the continuous growth of the children. The water symbolises the sustainability of the work and the commitment to a long-term engagement.
The next highlight followed right up! Doris Ackermann & Band convinced more than 150 guests with their musical program. The impact was still increased by Britta T. and Sanna. Not only through their fantastic music but also by their winning presence the three ladies gained the audience's favour. Some of the guests literally jumped off their seats during Frank Tender's performance. His rock'n'roll rythms heated up the atmosphere. Finally Toni Vescoli displayed his great artistry not only by his music but also by his funny gags. Markus Maggi additionally enthused people through his virtuosic way of playing the accordion.
In short: it was a perfect event!
A great great Thank You goes to all the helpers who supported the organisation during this night and thus made this event possible through their engagement. We would further on like to thank our sponsors for their generous support. Not to forget the tireless work and commitment of Urs Bollinger who shouldered the greatest part of the organisation.

On November 6th there will be the charity concert „Thalwil for Africa“ in the Schützenhalle Thalwil. Doris Ackermann & Band, Sanna, Britta T. and Toni Vescoli will provide high-class musical entertainment.
Thomas Spycher will pamper the guests with a delicious three-course meal.
Reserve your tickets today and help improve the situation of disadvantaged children in Africa, as all funds raised through this event will flow to 100% to the children.

In this place we urgently want to mention the most important person in of this year's STREETKIDS event. A ***HUGE*** thank you goes to Till Schenk who makes possible so many things to happen through his engagement! It is thanks to him that so many athletes are taking part in this event.
Furthermore it is due to his engagement that the event is also being sponsored and supported by several enterprises. To these enterprises we owe a further 'Thank you so much - we highly appreciate your broad support'!

On Sunday, April 11th, a small group of people gathered together for the first we care 4 handicrafts afternoon. In harmony with springtime, six women under the guidance of our active member Sara Huerzeler crafted colourful window decorations out of wire and bast. It was a great day that asked quite some dexterity and patience of the participants, but the results turned out very beautiful!

A few weeks after the Ironman Zürich 2009 Ronnie Schildknecht had drawn the winners of the STREETKIDS event. Vochers of Tempo-Sport, Heusser Orthopädie and Fit for Life were to be won.
The winners of the first prize had to wait the longest - today was the training with the Ironman Champion.
After an intense briefing and a substantiated analysis of the greater weather situation with five fundamentally different opinions we finally decided not to go on the short bike tour. Instead we tied our running shoes and went for a good run through Sihlwald forest. Ronnie was in the anaerobic zone during the whole run. He was anwering in such depth and detail to the questions of the really interested participants that he could hardly take a breath.
The discussion around the highly philosophic issue 'Stretching yes or no - mere laziness or the adaptation from the animal kingdom?' granted us a longer pause before we stirred up a storm in the local indoor swimming pool. Here too Ronnie had a lot to share, a lot of hints and clues as how to improve the smimming technique or how the design of the training can be optimized.
During lunch together we refilled our carbohydrate stores and still had a lot of time for gossiping.
Heartfelt thanks to all those who participated in the STREETKIDS event and of course to Ronnie for his engagement in this donation activity. And don't forget that we are at the start this year on August 15th in Copenhagen!
